It was just a perfect match for a weekend jaunt in Punta Maroma with outstanding value for money. The cleanliness of the resort was superb, and the staff were friendly and always willing to help. Try to make restaurant reservations as soon as you arrive.

The jungle vibe at Catalonia Playa Maroma is amazing. Coatis and monkeys lighten the mood, but be careful with sugary items on your table! The food options were solid, especially loved the hibachi grill, Italian restaurant, and taco station. The attention to allergies was a nice touch. The pool is clean and has a warm zero-entry area, perfect for kids. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere felt family-oriented. However, some noise from the evening entertainment was distracting, especially being near the open-air theater. Our room was decent, but the building needs some updates, and the restaurant reservations through the app were frustrating. Though food was average to good, dining could use improved organization on busy nights. I had a great time overall and would return, but there are definitely areas for enhancement.

I had a great time enjoying the beautiful white sands and clear sea just steps from the hotel, and the nearby Dolphin Discovery was a fun adventure that made my stay even better.

Request a ground floor room for easier access to the beach and pool, especially if you have mobility issues.

The moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with margaritas. The room was beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable. We loved the delicious tacos served by the pool!

However, we did find it challenging to get reservations at the á la carte restaurants for our group size. We missed out on some dining experiences because of that.
